How to Use Leadpage Leadboxes with Squarespace [VIDEO]

Over the last few months I’ve fallen completely in love with Squarespace and Leadpages! I use leadboxes in every post where there’s a free download. If you’re using Squarespace and Leadpages, but don’t quite have a grasp on how to put them together seamlessly this tutorial is for you! I’m going to teach you how to quickly integrate Leadpages Leadboxes in to Squarespace so the boxes pop up right over your website when your reader clicks on a button or image.

If you like getting your tech tutorial in video because it’s easier to see each step, you’re in luck! I recorded this quick 6 minute video for you that walks you through the three ways to integrate Leadboxes in Squarespace.

How to Use Paypal to Send Clients Professional Invoices

How to Use Paypal to Send Clients Professional Invoices

When I started as a freelance designer in 2012 I’m going to be honest, I basically gave away my blog designs and I started on Etsy. As my portfolio grew, my rates went up and I moved to my own site and stopped selling my services on Etsy. When that time came I had to find a new way to invoice clients on my own. Paypal was the first payment system I used to invoice my clients. It was something I had used for years from buying and selling online, I already had an account and I was just comfortable with it.

Then over the course of the last few years I strayed. I tried several different ways to collect payments like Freshbooks (love) and Wave (don’t love) and a few others that I can’t remember off the top of my head. But recently I came back to my tried and true method: Paypal. Truth be told, I don’t invoice clients a lot these days. I’m working on diversifying my income and moving away from doing design work for clients so I decided it was silly to pay a monthly fee when I could do it straight from Paypal with just the transaction fee (that every payment processor will charge you).

If you haven’t tried Paypal for invoicing yet, do it! It’s simple. It’s free of a monthly subscription fee. People know the name and trust it.

How to Add Amazon Associates Affiliate Links in Squarespace

One of the most popular affiliate programs is Amazon. Seriously, what can’t you buy on Amazon? I recently had to look through my orders in search of a model number and I’m too embarrassed to tell you how long it took me to find that order because I had placed so many orders since then. Target-less small town problems, right? But enough about my Amazon spending problem, let’s talk about using the Amazon affiliate program with Squarespace!

If you have a Squarespace blog, using Amazon Associates is easy and once it’s set up you can simply drop Amazon products into your posts to flow seamlessly with the rest of the post. This is maybe one of the coolest features in Squarespace if you use Amazon Associates.

February 2016 Income Report: $266.07 in Online Income

Welcome to my online business income report! I love reading the income reports of other bloggers and wanted to start sharing mine as a way to be transparent, as well as motivate myself (and hopefully others!) to create a successful business. I’ll also be including my traffic and social media stats as well as goal tracking since those are important parts of the business and it’ll help me keep track as I move forward.

Please note: Due to pregnancy + maternity leave I put my business (mostly) on hold for about a year between October 2014 – October 2015. This is me basically starting over! Just thought I should clarify.

JOURNEY TO $5,000/MONTH

Tracking my income is part of my goal to make $5,000 per month by October of 2016. I recently made that a goal and gave myself a year to achieve it. Join me on my journey!

WHAT’S INCLUDED

I include all of my online business income and expenses from blogging, design, and any of my other business related income streams.

FEBRUARY INCOME

To be honest, I almost didn’t do an income report this month. I thought to myself that I made so little it wasn’t worth the effort and, to be honest, it’s a little embarrassing. But the point of these is for transparency, motivation and keeping track of my progress. I spent all month working on my course that launches in a few weeks.

How to Use MailChimp and Squarespace to Deliver Freebies & Content Upgrades

Giving away freebies and content upgrades is all the rage right now. Everyone seems to be doing it and for good reason, but how? The tech stuff doesn’t come easily to everyone so I’m going to walk you through two options to use Squarespace and MailChimp to give your new subscriber a download after they sign up.

Option #1: Squarespace Form with Link After Submit

This if your best option if…

  • You want to offer multiple downloads/freebies for people signing up for the same email list within Mailchimp
  • You want to go the quickest, easiest route. No switching over to the mailchimp website and editing email templates, etc.

This is actually how I had everything set up before moving to Leadpages, but I won’t go into that right now because I know most people prefer Mailchimp (hello? It’s free!). So I’m going to show you one of my older posts that is still using Mailchimp and Squarespace to deliver my content upgrades.

January 2016 Income Report

Welcome to my online business income report! WHAT’S INCLUDED

I include all of my online business income and expenses from blogging, design, and any of my other business income streams. The only income I don’t report are my Jamberry commissions (due to their policy to not share earnings) as well as any extra income I make selling items which I do regularly to simplify and declutter. All other sources of income and the related expenses will be shared here.

JANUARY INCOME

Even though January is a little bit down from December I’m calling it a good month. I got my design project done and I’ve been working on a course that should make February a great month! I also started a small etsy shop which I’ll share about in a couple months once I have a better idea of what’s going on with that. It’s a fun little shop for me and gives me some passive income even when I’m not working on it.
