We’re back from a few fun days in Vegas. Vegas is so much more enjoyable when you’re old enough to just be in the casino, gambling or not. I’m almost 25 (what?!) so it’s been a few years for me. I’ve never had a crazy weekend in Vegas, I always go with family. Is that totally weird? I’ll definitely post photos from the trip this week, but what I’m here to write about is a BIG sigh of relief.

The holidays are over, which is sad and happy all at once. My sister and her husband are back in Tennessee and my house is just getting back to “normal” from having holiday get togethers and decorations up. While I truly enjoy the holidays, I have a new appreciation for anyone who has holiday parties and children to cater to. I’m exhausted. While I love vacation, I feel like I’ve been on a month long trip and I just needed to go home and be in my own bed. Funny thing is, a lot of the time I was in my own bed, but I still felt like I had a million things to do and people to entertain between my sister and her husband, and Blaine having a decent amount of time off.

Since Blaine is only here on weekends right now, I have made it a habit to put down the computer (which I’m on all day usually) or any other DIY project or work that I am busy with and just spend 95% of my time with him since we don’t see each other often. That means on Monday mornings when he leaves, I rush to get any cleaning, wrapping presents or doing any work that I didn’t get to over the weekend. Well the last few weekends were 3 and 4 day weekends with him, which has been fun but I kind of always was stressed about needing to get this or that done. I can’t wait until he finally finds a job here so we can go back to normal life! Although, I do love just spending entire weekends enjoying each others company.

Now I get to pack up the rest of the Christmas decor and put it away for the rest of the year. This holiday season was a great one and I’m so beyond happy that despite us all living in different cities, we were able to spend some good quality time together. Now I get to breathe a big sigh of relief and get back to normal life.
