10 in 5 challenge

I’m getting married in October. I need to start dress shopping! I want to ENJOY dress shopping! I’m about 10 pounds from my high school weight and about 20 pounds from where I’d like to be. I’m putting myself out there and blogging my weight loss challenge. Though this is totally not going to turn into a weight loss blog, I’ll be checking in once, maybe twice a week with my progress. I feel like the accountability and wanting to report good news will be amazing motivation. I will be introducing Weight Loss Wednesday’s for the next five weeks.

The Goal: 10 pounds in 5 weeks

Staring Line: 165 pounds as of Wednesday, May 16, 2011

Finish Line: 155 pounds on Wednesday, June 22, 2011

How I WILL do it:My main method will just be your basic diet and exercise. My eating isn’t spectacular due to being unmotivated to prepare nutritional meals. I will be planning at least some of my meals ahead of time and shopping for those ingredients each week.

I am currently a member of Weight Watchers as I’ve found it’s the easiest way for me to track my daily food & activity until I can be more dependent on making good choices.

Yes, I am a woman and I just shared my weight with the world. I’m not ashamed! 😉

Breakfast today was strawberries, an egg and a bagel with a smidge of cream cheese + low fat cottage cheese (as seen in the above photo). YUM. Surprisingly I haven’t had lunch yet and it’s 3:15! Oops. I’m thinking about an apple or a pear as a snack since it’s so late and then I’ll just have a nice hearty, early dinner.
